Your First Visit
During your visit to our office in downtown Jackson for your initial consultation, Dr. Padbury will set aside plenty of time to explain your treatment program and answer all of the questions you have for him. The entire Padbury Periodontics team wants you to be comfortable with the plan and the process. Dr. Padbury sets aside a full hour for your first appointment, which leaves you plenty of time to get any and all of your questions. During that time, Dr. Padbury will also perform a brief, non-intrusive periodontal examination to assess your current condition and to formulate a treatment program. We look forward to your first visit and hope you do as well.
What to expect
When you arrive, you will be greeted by Kellie at the front desk and asked to fill out or turn in health history, privacy paperwork and a list of medications you currently take. Kellie will also ask for your insurance information, if available. It is helpful to show up 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time.
At your appointment time, Kembra will walk you back to an examination room and speak with you for a bit. Dr. Padbury will look over your forms and speak with you before performing a brief exam. At that point, he will be able to discuss your dental status and discuss a treatment program before answering every possible question you can think of. Patient confidence and comfort is important to us, so you will never be rushed out the door. Dr. Padbury works in conjunction with you and your general dentist. Just because you were referred to Dr. Padbury does not mean you’re being handed off to him.
Once you and Dr. Padbury are finished speaking, April will discuss insurance options and payment plans before turning you over to Kellie, who will schedule your next appointment.
